# Axcient x360Recover

> Connect Axcient x360Recover so the agent can check device backup health, restore points, vault replication, and job runs when an Axcient alert hits a ticket.

Connect Axcient x360Recover and the agent reads a device's real backup state from Axcient to answer backup questions on a ticket.

For example, ask "is FILE01 backing up again?" or "why did the vault replication alert fire for Acme?" The integration is read-only. Rallied never changes anything in Axcient.

## How to connect

**1. Create an Axcient API key**

Sign in to the Axcient x360Portal (`partner.axcient.com`) as an administrator. Open **Settings → API Keys**, click **Add API Key**, and copy the key. Axcient shows it only once.

**2. Connect Axcient x360Recover**

In Rallied, go to **Settings → Integrations**, find the Axcient x360Recover card and click **Connect**. Paste the key into **API Key**.

**3. Save and confirm**

Click **Save**. Rallied validates the key and syncs your Axcient clients. The card shows **Connected** when it's ready.

One API key covers every client in your Axcient organization.

## Mapping Axcient clients to Rallied clients

When you connect, Rallied syncs your active Axcient clients and matches each one to a Rallied client. Rallied skips inactive Axcient clients. Review the matches on the **Companies** tab of the integration's detail page. Click **Sync clients** to pick up clients you've added in Axcient since.

On a client's ticket, the agent reads only that client's Axcient data. It fills in the client's Axcient ID automatically.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Listing every Axcient client, or devices across all clients, is limited to the MSP admin [Chat](/dashboard/chat.md). Use it for fleet-wide questions such as "which clients have troubled backups right now?"

## How the agent uses it

When an Axcient alert or backup question lands on a ticket, the agent typically:

1. Lists the client's protected devices to find the one named in the alert.
2. Opens the device to read its current health status (including why it changed and since when), the protection thresholds, and the latest local, cloud, and vault restore points.
3. Lists the device's jobs and reads the recent runs of the failing one, including the error message.
4. Checks the client's appliances if the alert points to an offline appliance or a down tunnel.

Health statuses come straight from Axcient: `NORMAL`, `WARNED`, `TROUBLED`, `UNPROTECTED`, and `PARKED`.

## Tools

Every tool defaults to **Auto**. To change a default, open the **Policies** tab on **Settings → Integrations → Axcient x360Recover**. See [Approval settings](/dashboard/policies.md).
